An American Soldier

Ever since Justin's youngest brother, Jace, joined the Army I will never look at the Military forces the same way again. I have always had respect, faith, and admiration for those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms, but now that Jace is one of those men fighting for our freedoms it hits so much closer to home. We are so proud of his decision and know that he will gain tremendous strengths because of it. We love him dearly and miss him so much.

We recently found out that Jace is being deployed to Iraq this month. Even though we are nervous, and scared, we have never been so proud.

On his last day in town at our family dinner Jace took the honors of shaving all the men in the family's hair, except for Justin's who already has a head start:) This was their way of showing their love and support.

Kobe asked for a mohawk because he didn't want his head shaved

I love that they all shaved their heads. That is really cool. Regan had 4 brothers go to Iraq. It is a scary place but they were all glad they went. They said the people in Iraq want our military there and cheer when they see them. Your family will be in our prayers.

What a great bonding experience and fun way to honor him. Stay strong for him and know that the entire country prays for them all daily!

Please pass on my grattitude to Jace for his great service. Tyler is on his fourth tour as we speak. It is an honor to know that Jace is doing his part to assure that our country may remain free so that the Gospel may continue to spread forth.

Rach how fun for the guys. I think that is awesome! Ben just got back. It is so nice to have him back, although it won't be for long. I need to call you soon.

Aaron's brother Eric spent a year in Iraq at the beginning of the war, so I know what you mean. Soldiers are awesome.

That's awesome. I can't believe how grown up Jace is. I don't think I have seen him since he was 10. You guys are in our prayers, Jace especially. I am also proud of him. My cousin has been deployed to Iraq twice in the past couple of years, so I know how it feels. Love you!
