Cabin Fever

This past weekend we had a much needed get a way out of town. We went up to our friend's cabin in Cedar Mountain. We had a great time!

Once we had Kennedy hogged tied.....
and Justin settled down for his long winters nap......(really, it was snowing and he fell asleep at 7pm)

THEN THE REAL FUN BEGAN......

All of the boys, plus Kennedy, had a great big slumber party in the front room
We roasted marshmallows for smores. More like we burned marshmallows for smores.
We ate and ate and ate and ate some more.
We played games until late hours.
We laughed for about 20 minutes about rose scented Glade air freshener.....we were obviously tired.
Read mindless magazines and gossiped about how ridiculous most celebrities are but you gotta love 'em.
Got to be reunited with our winter clothes one last time...it was a beautiful reunion.
An unfortunate event occurred between a bag of granola and a flame which resulted in FIRE!
I laughed until I cried.
I cringed to myself when Kade cried ALL night long and kept climbing out of his port a crib because....well, who knows why he did.
I learned that lobster=sophisticated and Oprah trumps everything.
I have the absolute worst luck in the game of Phase 10.

But the best part of the weekend was when the husbands took the kids to the lake fishing for 4 hours leaving us girls home alone with the babies, yummy snacks, and hours of endless chatting.

When we left my kids were exhausted from all of the running, climbing, fishing, jumping, exploring, and 4 wheeling.

What could be better than that?
